Storey partners with 1% for the Planet

Storey, the personalised online shopping specialist, today reveals its partnership with the international organisation 1% for the Planet, a global network of businesses, individuals and nonprofit organisations committed to aiding our planet's most critical environmental causes.

Storey is a digital retail solution that allows for live interactions between consumers and brand representatives online. By offering an alternative to travel to stores multiple times and allowing brands to reach customers at flexible times from a single location, Storey has a significant role to play in moving the retail industry to a sustainable future.

Naomi Palmer at Storey, says, “We believe Storey has a role to play in reducing carbon footprint through enabling great customer experiences that involve less travelling, as we aim to reduce travelling for both customers and staff. In addition, we see this as part of Storey’s commitment to developing a sustainable business all-up, which includes selecting clients that take a similar position to us and partnerships with 1% for the planet will help us reach that objective.”

The partnership will see Storey commit to donating 1% of its annual revenue to the organisation, providing support to on-the-ground environmental nonprofits. Storey joins global household brands in the fight to put people and the planet over profit, including, Patagonia, Boxed Water, Pukka, OXO and more.

"Currently, only 3% of total philanthropy goes to the environment and, only 5% of that comes from businesses. The planet needs bigger support than this, and our growing network of business members is doing its valuable part to increase giving and support for on-the-ground outcomes. We're excited to welcome Storey to our global movement," says Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet.
