Finsu delivers strong H1, appoints co-founder and chief growth officer Ric Rodriguez to drive expansion

4 August, 22

Finsu, sustainable shopping pioneer, today announces the appointment of Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer, Ric Rodriguez, to lead its marketing, branding, creative, content and e-commerce strategy following significant company growth.

Finsu aims to make sustainable shopping convenient and transparent for consumers and has experienced significant growth in H1, seeing an increase in clicks to brand sites by +128% as well as partner redirection rate growing by +86%. Since its launch, Finsu has deployed a number of key functionality upgrades, including launching a new values-based system, to make it easier for customers to shop consciously. Finsu’s proprietary assessment process – developed by sustainability expert and Co-Founder, Dr Julius Simon – gives customers a full and credible picture of a brand’s sustainability profile, at a glance, through the use of technology. Finsu has also increased its brand partners by 3.5x with brands such as Peachaus, Bibico and LaBante joining the community.

Rodriguez is an accomplished marketing leader, with more than ten years of experience in the digital and retail space. He has a strong track record of growing businesses, most notably at the fine jewellery disruptor, Vashi, where he established the digital marketing function and ESG approach. Prior to that, he held roles at NYSE-listed technology company Yext and marketing agencies within Dentsu, Croud and Hearst’s iCrossing. He is an international conference speaker and regular industry awards judge. Rodriguez joins the c-suite at Finsu during a pivotal time for the business as it accelerates brand and marketing growth by appointing Digital Works and Jargon PR as agency partners.

Passionate to be playing a key role in Finsu’s strategic direction, Rodriguez commented: “Finsu has developed an industry-leading approach to help people shop consciously without having to compromise on the products or retail experience. To me, this is critical for making change happen. We know that fashion’s impact on people and the planet is critical, but by winning the hearts and minds of customers who are increasingly looking for sustainable products – by offering a meaningful alternative to fast fashion – we can alter our course away from climate disaster.”

Also commenting on the appointment, Frederik Muelke, CEO and Co-Founder of Finsu said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ric to Finsu’s founding team at such an exciting time for the business. The global fashion market is ripe for disruption with established players moving too slowly to embrace the movement toward more mindful consumption. At Finsu, we are proud to be building a place that takes the compromise out of shopping consciously, helping anyone to easily find the clothes that make them look and feel incredible. Ric’s rare combination of analytical and creative strengths paired with his track record of supercharging progress in disruptive spaces makes his joining a transformational milestone on Finsu’s growth journey. We feel energised about getting to work together.”
