Leaders in sustainable urban parcel delivery, Zedify have today announced their integration with global ecommerce delivery technology leader, Metapack. Now live on Metapack’s delivery management platform in the UK, this new integration provides retailers with a sustainable option for urban last mile deliveries.

As UK leaders in sustainable urban parcel delivery, Zedify operates fleets of cargo bikes run from hyper local microhubs at the edge of city centres. For brands who are plugged into Metapack, that’s one more barrier to their net zero ambitions neatly overturned. Zedify’s same day, next day and greenday deliveries save 92% C02 per km compared with using EVs, emit zero tailpipe emissions and help to build healthier, cleaner and more liveable cities that are better for everyone

Zedify’s CCO, Jon Williams, said, “With 70% consumers noticing the carrier delivering their order, brands can be confident that choosing cargo bike deliveries will give them a competitive edge on sustainability. EVs are great, but when it comes to decarbonising the urban last mile, cargo bikes are over 90% better! That’s a big win for retailers looking to meet consumer demand on sustainability and hit net zero targets.”

David Randall, Strategic Partnership Director at Metapack said “Our research highlights that almost 75% of online shoppers would consider measures to make deliveries more sustainable. With this becoming increasingly top-of-mind for consumers, it’s imperative that retailers have greater access to greener last mile delivery options. Zedify has been a pioneer in implementing cargo bike deliveries across the UK, and we’re hugely excited to be working with them, especially as we continue to bring retailers more sustainable delivery options than ever before.”

Zedify’s model utilises smart technology to optimally consolidate parcels headed to the same area. Plus, cargo bikes have been proven to be 60% faster than vans (EV or not) in cities, so the model is incredibly efficient and highly competitive on cost.
