6 April, 23

Pork Farms, the nation’s best-selling pork pie brand, is celebrating the upcoming Coronation Weekend by launching a Special Edition Coronation Pork Pie.

To coincide with this landmark event, the packaging for Pork Farms’ award-winning original pork pie has been given the royal treatment. Available from April 9th – end of May the Coronation Pork Pie features exclusive new patriotic packaging with an unmissable and eye-catching Union Jack design, created to give maximum shelf standout.

The pie is encased in traditional hot water crust pastry and contains a delicious combination of pork and seasoned flavourful jelly. The long-standing recipe is testament to Pork Farms’ commitment to quality, as it is made using 100% British pork and contains no nitrates or artificial ingredients.

The British favourite will easily be the crown jewel in any Coronation Weekend meal, and is perfect for afternoon teas, picnics, and ploughman’s boards.

The Special Edition Coronation Original Pork Pie will be available from April 9th – end of May in Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, and across C&I (295g, RRP £2.20)

Jason Manley, Brand Director at Pork Farms, which is part of The Compleat Food Group, said “Established in 1931, we’re a brand that’s extremely proud of its British heritage and relies solely on British pork, so celebrating the coronation with the release of this limited-edition pork pie was the natural choice.

“As the nation’s best-selling pork pie brand, Pork Farms has seen a growth of 6.4% in the same period as last year, as well as an increase of 28% in the last 12 months [1], demonstrating the enduring appeal of the humble pie. So, whether consumers are hosting a street party or watching the coronation unfold from the comfort of their own homes, they can depend on Pork Farms to deliver a taste that is fit for a king.”
