Dundee is host to a newly relaunched SPAR Scotland convenience store. Located on Ballindean Road, the store officially relaunched on Friday 30 June following a recent refit.
During the day, local shoppers were treated to a fun afternoon where the SPAR spinning wheel was on hand to give-away 100 goody bags and a variety of prizes including SPAR shopping vouchers, Rollover hotdog merchandise, F’real merchandise, t-shirts, BARR merchandise and Swizzels products. Stuart’s Bakers also provided free product sampling. There were also special offers on a host of SPAR own label and leading branded daily essential food and drink items.
SPAR Scotland also made two £500 cheque donations to Douglas Community Centre and St Pius X Primary School, as well as donating £800 of SPAR vouchers to St Pius and Claypotts Primary summer breakfast camps.
The 1,859sqft SPAR Scotland company owned store has had a new counter and back-line installed, new external fascia and window graphics, new internal local history window graphics and signage plus the store has been painted throughout. The entrance area has been revamped and the biggest change is the addition of a CJ’s food-to-go area.
Steven Irons, Company Owned Stores Director at SPAR Scotland, said: “We are really pleased to welcome customers into our newly refurbished SPAR store. We are delighted with how fresh and modern the store looks with a core range of products and services available, specifically catering for our local shoppers. The new addition of CJ’s food to go counter area we hope will be a great addition to our customers.”
SPAR Ballindean Road employs ten members of the local community and is situated at 76 Ballindean Road. The SPAR store is open from 6am-10pm Mon-Sat and 7am-10pm on Sunday.
