Whistl has retained its Platinum JICMAIL status for both its Mail and Doordrop Media divisions for their outstanding expertise and practice in planning, measuring and evaluating mail campaigns with JICMAIL data.

JICMAIL stands for Joint Industry Committee for Mail and delivers industry-standard audience measurement data for Direct Mail (including Partially Addressed Mail), Door Drops and Business Mail.

Platinum Organisational Accreditation is the highest accolade given by JICMAIL and has been awarded to businesses who have fully embraced JICMAIL data into their businesses.

Whistl had to demonstrate it continues to hold a level of proficiency with JICMAIL beyond its basic application which includes evidence of JICMAIL data being embedded into the subscriber’s L&D programs, routinely applied across the planning, sales and data ecosystems, together with case study evidence that JICMAIL is being systematically used to retain or grow business.

Andrew Goddard, Mail, Parcelhub and Crossborder, Whistl, said: “JICMAIL plays an important role in confirming the value and effectiveness of advertising mail with media buyers. We are delighted to retain our Platinum status.”

Advertising mail is the third largest media channel in the UK, worth an estimated £1.1bn annually and JICMAIL provides the same metrics for mail that are available for other channels and are used by planners regularly to help plan media campaigns.
