Queclink Wireless Solutions, a global provider of IoT devices and hardware, has developed a router that provides cost-effective connectivity for diverse retail environments. The networking platform delivers industrial-grade reliability at up to a third less cost than comparable solutions in the marketplace for retail deployments where traditional fixed-line infrastructure is impractical or where rapid deployment is essential.

“We are eliminating any compromise between cost and reliability, delivering the performance required by retail applications,” explains Vernon Bonser, International Sales Director at Queclink Wireless Solutions. “Retailers will now be able to deploy affordable connectivity for vending machines, pop-up stores, kiosks, digital signage, seasonal locations and franchise operations that require immediate network access without waiting for Internet Service Provider (ISP) installations.”

Built around 4G LTE Cat 4 mobile technology with intelligent dual-SIM failover, the industrial router is designed to deliver core performance at a highly competitive cost. It features four Ethernet ports and reliable Wi-Fi for local area networking, as well as offering robust support for multiple VPN services and routing protocols that guarantee stable and secure data transmission. As a result, the Lite router supports expanding equipment requirements and increasingly sophisticated network architectures without requiring hardware replacement.

The router possesses an industrial-ready and compact design with a rugged aluminium enclosure, wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +70°C) and broad power input support. This means the Lite solution operates effectively where lower-grade equipment would fail. It also promises simplified installation, with no need for specialised technicians or complex networking setup.

“By focusing on connectivity and streamlined functionality, we are providing exceptional value, making the Lite industrial router an ideal cost-effective solution for retail networking and transaction processing needs. Retail operations increasingly rely on constant connectivity, but failsafe solutions have traditionally been cost-prohibitive for many organisations. With our WR220 Lite router it is possible to save significantly on both hardware acquisition and ongoing connectivity costs, while maintaining high levels of dependability and security,” adds Vernon Bonser.
