Global recipe shopping tech provider Northfork has expanded its executive team with the appointment of new Vice President of Product José Namén, at an exciting time for the online grocery sector.

The appointment of the leading industry figure comes as Northfork expands its client base into new regions around the globe. The firm’s technology powers the recipe shopping experience of a growing number of major retailers and publishers, from Coop in Sweden and Denmark to Walmart and Buzzfeed’s Tasty app in the US.

“José is a world-class business leader with extensive experience in the technology and food industries. His experience and passion for the Northfork product will be invaluable in helping even more retailers and publishers discover the benefits of our innovative recipe shopping solutions,” said Erik Wallin, Co-founder, Northfork.

José’s experience includes over a decade at the heart of the digital/recipe space, most recently as Global Head of the Thermomix recipe business at Vorwerk, following a range of other roles. At Northfork, he will be working with clients to ensure they get the best out of the company’s products and features. He will also lead on the product roadmap, developing new, client-driven and market-driven products in line with evolving tech.

Passionate about culture and leadership, José will support Northfork’s international growth, as well as the evolution of the product range and client experience. Like the existing Northfork team, he brings a customer-obsessed focus to his role that places clients’ needs at the centre of each decision.

“Northfork’s products are a key tool for retailers and publishers who want to increase customer loyalty. By making recipe shopping more convenient, Northfork drives up brand loyalty and increases conversion rates and monetization on recipes. This is precisely what retailers need to drive successful, long-term customer commitment. I’m looking forward to supporting Northfork’s clients to achieve outstanding value from the company’s products,” said José Namén, VP of Product, Northfork.

Over the coming months, Northfork is planning a series of announcements regarding both its geographical spread and its expanding product line, with José Namén acting as one of the driving forces behind the company’s continuing development.
