Coventry-based cash handling specialist Volumatic welcomed BBC CWR to its headquarters after employees shared their excitement at Coventry City FC’s promotion to the Premier League.
BBC CWR presenter Lorna Bailey visited the company’s Coventry HQ to speak to lifelong Sky Blues supporters within the Volumatic team, following the station’s call for local workplaces to get involved in the citywide celebrations.
Employees from across the business reflected on what the club’s return to the Premier League means to Coventry after a 25-year absence from the top flight of football.
Volumatic, which has operated in Coventry for more than 50 years, said the promotion had created a huge sense of pride across the city and among staff.
Volumatic’s Digital Content Manager Zoe said: “Coventry City fans are the best and the whole city has been celebrating as we did back in 1987 – it’s brought back a whole host of special memories for us and the entire city.”
